Important Message regarding emergency safety

Message To Residents

Your Safety Comes First

Safety is a shared responsibility at Aix La Chapelle. In matters of gas, fire, and emergency response, clear communication through the proper channels is critical.

Please take a few minutes to carefully review the information below; knowing what to do and who to call could save lives.  Please note that management does not provide emergency services.

Emergency & Communication Channels

  • In any emergency, call 911 immediately.
  • If you suspect a gas leak, after calling 911, also contact Enbridge Gas Utah 800-767-1689.
  • AFTER you have notified emergency services, please also notify the Aix La Chapelle management office through official communication channels.
  • Management does NOT provide emergency services but will need to be made aware for communication purposes.
    • Phone: 801-278-3113
    • Email: manager@aixlacondo.com
    • Online Portal text: 714-598-0847

Do not rely on informal communication methods (such as social media or talking to neighbors) during emergencies. Using the correct channels ensures a rapid and coordinated response.

    Why Communication Matters

  • Response time saves lives. Emergency services and licensed professionals can only help if they are contacted promptly.
  • Accuracy matters. Calling through the right channels ensures critical details are relayed to those who can act.
  • Professional expertise is required. For any concerns, always seek advice from licensed contractors or management—not unverified sources.

Gas & Fire Safety Guide

At Aix La Chapelle, your safety and the safety of our community is our top priority. Since our buildings use natural gas, it is important for all residents to understand how to stay safe, prevent accidents, and know what to do in an emergency.

If You Suspect a Gas Leak

  • Leave immediately. Do not use lights, appliances, or phones inside the unit.
  • Do not attempt to locate the leak.
  • From a safe location, call 911 and notify the property manager or Association.
  • Do not re-enter the building until authorities confirm it is safe.

Gas Appliances in Your Home

  • Only use appliances as intended and per manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Never block vents, air returns, or exhaust outlets.
  • Do not attempt to repair gas appliances yourself—always hire a qualified professional.
  • Schedule regular inspections of gas appliances to ensure safe operation.

Use Only Qualified Professionals

  • Installation, service, and repair of gas appliances and connections must be performed by licensed professionals.
  • DIY repairs can create dangerous conditions for you and your neighbors.
  • Always verify that your contractor is properly insured and experienced with natural gas systems.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety

  • CO is a colorless, odorless gas that can be deadly.
  • Install CO detectors in your unit and test them monthly.
  • If your CO alarm sounds, leave immediately and call 911.
  • Never use ovens, stovetops, or grills to heat your home.

Community Rules on Fire & Open Flames

  • No BBQ grills, propane tanks, or open flames (including charcoal, propane, or wood-burning devices) are permitted on balconies, patios, or within the community.
  • This policy is in place for the safety of all residents and to comply with fire safety regulations.
  • Electric grills may be permitted if approved by the Association—check with management before use.

Remember Your vigilance protects not only your household but also your neighbors and our entire community. Please follow these safety rules and contact management if you have any concerns about gas or fire hazards.
